'''Rabbi Zerika''' was a fourth generation Amora. Originally form Bavel he studied under Rav Huna, Rav Yehuda and Rav Hamnuna. When he came to Eretz Yisroel he studied under Rabbi Yochanan and Resh Lakish. Rabi Elazar ben Pedat, Rabbi Yehuda ben Yechezkel and Rabbi Ammi. Rabbi Zerika used to copy Baraitas and arrange them. His colleague was Rav Zeira.

Rabbi Zerika is buried in the cliffs outside Achbara in the ruins of Chakuv based on the testimony of Rabbi Chaim Vital in the name of the [[Rabbi Yitzchak Luria|Arizal]].
