Later, congregants of the Gerigos synagogue also wanted to name their synagogue the “ARI” synagogue The two synagogues differentiated by naming the older synagogue the “ARI Sepharadi”, in honor of the ARI’s Sepharadi father while the ARI Ashkanazi was named in honor of the ARI’s Ashkanazi mother. Do not think his father was Sephardi, so removed.--Simcha 05:22, 6 October 2011 (MST)
