Rav Chisda

Rav Chisda was third generation Babylonian Amora and a student of Rav. He lived to the old age of 92, meriting great wealth and successful children. Rav Chisda was a Kohen and served as Rosh Yeshiva of Sura for ten years.

Teachings

When suffering comes upon a person, he should analyze his actions. If he analyzed and can not find a sufficient reason for the suffering he can blame it on his lack of Torah study.
